Point of Sale (POS)
The POS screen is your checkout counter. Fast, simple, and works even without internet. Ring up customers in seconds.
What You Can Do
- Add products by tapping, scanning, or searching
- Apply discounts (per item or entire cart)
- Accept multiple payment methods
- Split payments across methods
- Print or share receipts
- Process refunds
- Work completely offline
Making a Sale
Add Products to Cart
Three ways to add products:
- Tap product card — Products appear in a grid, just tap to add
- Scan barcode — Tap scan button, point at barcode
- Search — Type product name in search box
Adjust Quantities
Use the + and − buttons to change quantity.
Tap the item to:
- Change the price (for negotiated sales)
- Add a discount to this item
- Add a note (e.g., "Customer wants receipt")
Swipe left on an item to remove it from the cart.
Apply Discounts (Optional)
Two types of discounts:
Item Discount
Tap item → Add Discount → Enter % or amount
Cart Discount
Tap "Discount" button below cart → Enter % or amount
Select Payment Method
Tap Charge to proceed to payment. Choose method:
Cash
Enter amount received. Change is calculated automatically.
Mobile Money
MTN MoMo, Airtel Money. Record transaction reference.
Card
Visa, Mastercard. Process on your card terminal.
Credit
Customer pays later. Tracked in customer profile.
Complete and Receipt
Tap Complete Sale. Stock updates automatically.
Receipt options:
- Print — To connected receipt printer
- Share — Send via WhatsApp to customer
- Email — If customer provides email
- Skip — No receipt needed
Quick Sale Buttons
For very fast checkout, set up quick amount buttons:
Tap to instantly enter cash amount. Configure in Settings → POS Settings.
Barcode Scanning
BizoraPOS supports all standard barcodes:
- EAN-13 — Most retail products
- UPC-A — US products
- Code 128 — Custom barcodes
- QR Codes — Product lookup
Scanning Options
Camera
Use your phone/tablet camera. Tap scan button in POS.
External Scanner
Connect USB or Bluetooth scanner. Faster for high volume.
Offline Mode
POS works completely offline. When there's no internet:
- Make sales normally — everything saved locally
- Stock updates work
- Customer credit works
- Print receipts works
When internet returns, everything syncs automatically. You don't need to do anything.
Offline Indicator
A cloud icon shows connection status. Amber = offline, Green = connected.
Processing Refunds
To refund a sale:
- Go to Sales History (from dashboard or menu)
- Find the original sale
- Tap Refund
- Select items to refund (or full refund)
- Choose refund method (cash back or store credit)
- Confirm
Stock is automatically returned to inventory for refunded items.
Tips for Faster Checkout
Pin favorite products — Most-sold items appear first
Use categories — Organize products for quick finding
External scanner — Bluetooth scanners are faster than camera
Quick amounts — Pre-set cash amounts for common bills
Remember regulars — Link sales to customer profiles
